Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Contract Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, ensuring legal compliance, and providing timely legal support to internal departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, MoUs, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure all company contracts comply with Ethiopian laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Maintain organized contract records and monitor deadlines, renewals, and obligations.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on contract terms, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Support the preparation of legal reports, correspondence, and summaries.
- Participate in negotiations and ensure the company’s interests are protected.
- Handle any additional legal duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- LL.M with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or
- LL.B with minimum 2 years of experience in contract management or legal practice.
Additional Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Ethiopian contract law and legal procedures.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Experience in logistics, HR, or service-based industries is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong document management skills.
